What is up with my gerbil?!?

This is the second year I will have my gerbils. When I got Hammy, she was gray with a white spot on her head. Now she is almost all white. It’s like her fur faded! Is is just old age? Anyone know?

    1. Well I am not a 100% on this but I think it is her age.

      I have a mouse that was light gray and now that she is about 6 months old she is turning dark gray. So I think it is just age.

      Was she mottled? Sometimes when gerbils molt they can gain more white in their fur.

      It probably is old age. Like our hair fades, so does the animal’s.
